Our team consists of a tight-knit group of professionals with a wide array of talents and expertise. We’re able to draw on these talents to provide your project the best possible design while keeping your project on schedule and on a budget. The consultants on our team have worked with us for many years and as a result, we enjoy streamlined integration and open communication at every point in the project. Below are the key members of our team that we work with on a daily basis.
Byron McLaughlin
Principal
After taking both Art and Engineering at Butte College and Chico State University, Byron joined McCain Associates Engineering. In 1984 accepting a drafting position with Culp and Tanner Structural Engineers, well known for their structural designs of high-rise office buildings, hotels, casinos and parking structures. In 1991 Byron joined James J. January Architect/Engineer as Senior Design Drafter, where the combined disciplines helped him establish a broader understanding and view of construction and design on commercial, corporate and production facilities. After Jim January’s retirement, Byron moved to Thompson and Hendricks Architects and Planners as project manager and designer, specializing in school construction, government, and commercial facilities. Now at HM3, Byron is 50%, owner, and principal.
Chris Heinritz
Principal
Chris graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, CA with a Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1987. He is a licensed architect in California, Nevada, Arizona and Oregon. After working for Kent/Gilman Architects and Studio Four Architecture, Chris was a co-founder of his first firm PZH Architects which eventually became Packowski Heinritz Associates (PHA). After PHA, he started his sole proprietorship, Chris Heinritz Architecture (CHA). Chris specializes in Custom Estate Homes and throughout his career has worked on many types of projects including; Custom Homes, Multifamily Housing, Subdivision Housing, Clubhouses, Restaurants, Retail and Office Buildings. At HM3 Architecture, Chris is a principal and 50% owner.
